Raising Money In Memory
Donating in memory of a loved one or setting up an In Memory page will create a personal tribute to your loved one, and by supporting Suffolk Mind, will help us to help more people. Our aim is to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health.
Sometimes people who have experienced our help – for themselves or a family member – will request donations in their memory, as a final act of support for a charity that has mattered to them. Many people also find this a meaningful way to keep the memory of a loved one alive and to honour their life after they have gone. Others take comfort from the fact that good will come from the loss they are currently experiencing, and the donations will help others.
Whatever your motivation for giving in memory, please know that we appreciate you thinking of Suffolk Mind at such a difficult time.Create a page in memory of your loved one
If you would like to donate in memory of a loved one, here are some ways to do it
If you would like to request donations instead of flowers at your loved one’s funeral, you can include our details in the order of service. Speak to your funeral director about this. Get in touch, we can send some donation envelopes to be included as part of the service and can provide information about Suffolk Mind and how donations will be used to help others. Your funeral director will also be able to coordinate the actual collection and pass on the donations to us.
If you would like to make a one off or regular donation to Suffolk Mind in Memory of a loved one, please head over to our donation page.
You may also like to set up a Direct Debit or Standing Order by contacting your bank or getting in touch with us directly to help you.
This can be a place to gather collections and donations, but it can also be a place where you can come together to share memories, a photo and much more.
Set up your In Memory fundraising page and contributions can be made to the page for a particular in memory event or as an on-going tribute page. It only takes a few minutes to set up and, once it is up and running, anyone can donate money to the In Memory page at any time, share a comment or memory and share the page on social media.
All money raised in your loved one’s name will help us in our aim to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health.
Besides donations and In Memory pages, we know that many people like to fundraise in memory of someone close to them, whether it is taking on a challenge or hosting a get together. Whatever feels right for you we are here to help and support you and you can Contact Us to discuss organising your own event or challenge or taking on an activity to raise money for us.
